This script it not at all bad. After reading the many drafts of the first and second Crow films, neither are as good as the finished product (yes, City of Angels was better than its script). Salvation has a feel about it which is definitely a Crow film, there are few cheesy 'over the top' scenes and there are little one lines, which can affect a movie if used too much. The script harks back to the first movie heavily, some scenes pulled right of out of the first movie, but nothing too drastic. The director can make a fantastic movie, if he has the vision. One point of interest is that the characters are too young. Erin Randall is fourteen years old, Alex Corvis is only eighteen years old (one of the lines is "Interesting fact. It will take about eighteen thousand cents of electricity to execute Alex Corvis tonight on this, his eighteenth birthday.) and Lauren Randall is sixteen years old, possibly losing some emotional feel from younger characters. The movie is very violent and there are scenes involving the sex industry (the main bad guys work out of a nightclub/strip joint). Here are the main characters:

Alexander Frederick Corvis (Alex Corvis)

Erin Randall - Sister of murdered Lauren

Lauren Randall - Murdered girlfriend of Alex

Nathan Randall - Father of the two girls

Captain - Mysterious bad guy, captain of police

Walsh - Friend of Alex (Lawer)

Madden - Bad guy, cop

Mercer - Prison Guard

Tommy - Bad guy who lies for the cops

Erlich - bad guy, cop

Phillip Dutton - Another bad guy, cop

Larkin - Bad guy, cop

Toomey - Bad guy, cop

Secretary - Captain's secretary

If you hadn't guessed from the characters, the main villains in the movie are corrupt policemen. The mysterious part about the movie is Alex trying to find a zig zag scar on one of the killers arms. The main theme of the movie is that Randall was stabbed fifty three times. Here is a rundown of the various scenes in the movie, from beginning to end. DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW!

Script written by Chip Johannessen April 16 1998

There is a mysterious man doing taxidermy on a Crow which is believed dead. From here, it cuts to Garrison Prison called 'The Walls". There are many picketers around protesting about the death of Corvis, as this is his 18th birthday. Nathan and Erin Randall enter the prison the watch the execution. Erin believes that Alex is the killer. - Note, the script plays heavily that Alex is a loser and everyone thinks he is a loser. - A reporter, Gonzalez, talk of the execution from outside. Inside, Walsh comforts Alex, while Mercer taunts him with a birthday cake with a zig-zag across it. Alex gets strapped into the electric chair with a helmet on his head and watches a man unfold his shirt with a zig zag scar on his arm, he then is electrocuted. The Randall's watch, but the execution is botched and Alex is cooked, with the helmet melted to his head

The stuffed Crow awakes - believed to not be alive - and flies off, while inside the prison morgue, Alex wakes up, horribly scarred, with little memory. After kicking his way out of the locker, Corvis sees himself in the mirror, scarred, then pulls the melted helmet off his head, leaving the CROW MAKEUP burnt into his face. Alex all the while is getting flashback sequences while he touches the helmet, etc. The Crow flies down to meet Alex, but Alex is roughed up by some prison guards. Alex returns the favour and escapes from prison, but not after having taken some bullets and a fifty feet drop from a prison ledge. Before he does, there is a scene where Alex cuts himself on the razor wire and his hand heals, very Eric Dravenish as in the first movie.

s c e n e  3

Alex follows The Crow to the police evidence room, where he marvels at his powers, then finds the truth about himself and Lauren, taking the knife that stabbed her fifty-three times.

s c e n e  4

Alex finds Lauren's grave, but also meets with Erin, who does not believe who he is, but tells her that he will prove it somehow, then disappears.

s c e n e  5

Alex finds Tommy, the man who incriminated Alex falsely at his trial. Tommy tells Alex who else was involved, but Alex spares his life.

s c e n e  6

Another mysterious shot of the man with the scar on his arm in the taxidermy room

s c e n e  7

Phillip Dutton, the crooked cop, pulls over two women, the driver is under age. Dutton tries to sexually assault one of the girls, but goes to find that Alex Corvis is now sitting where the other girl was. Alex looks for the scar, then shoots Dutton through the head and stabs him fifty three times.

s c e n e  8

Strip Club, "The Hole", where officers Dutton, Madden, Larkin, Erlich and Toomey work from, behind the scenes. Madden returns with the news that Dutton is killed. Erin Randall looks on the news and finds Dutton's dead body on the screen, with the name "Daisy" cut into his head. This is Alex's sign to Erin, as she was called Daisy by her sister, Lauren. Erlich meets Walsh to question him about who would avenge Alex.

s c e n e  9

Alex finds Erlich leaving Walsh's apartment in his Porche. Alex kicks through his window, drives the Porche like a mad man, searches for the scar and drives the Porche into a wall, with police following. In the process, Alex drops the list of names.

s c e n e  10

Larkin and Toomey find the list of names at the wreck of the car. Erin finds Alex on her lawn with her fathers name and a piece of paper found in Erlich's Porche. Erin believes that Alex is back and her father is involved with Lauren's death.

s c e n e  11

Larkin, Toomey and Madden are at the police station very nervous. A worried Madden has to see the Captain, meeting the secretary, giving the line:

SECRETARY: Glad I'm not you.

MADDEN: Right back at ya.

The captain is very annoyed at Madden for letting Erlich drive a Porche on a low budget - looks suspicious. The captain is involved in it all as well.

s c e n e  12

Erin discovers that her father helped kill Lauren, though he claims that he had nothing to do with it. Erin drives away from him.

s c e n e  13

Larkin and Madden finish off Tommy - Alex meets Walsh and they exchange words. - Alex goes to the place where Lauren died and meets with Erin. Alex puts THE CROW MAKEUP on Erin - note, Erin does NOT become a CROW!

s c e n e  14

The Captain, Mercer and the Secretary go to the morgue at the prison, but find that Alex is not there.

s c e n e  15

Alex puts the makeup on Erin in this scene. Alex tells her that Erin's locket will bind the two together, no matter what

s c e n e  16

The Captain 'interrogates' Nathan Randall, finding out that Erin knows the truth about Lauren. Erin comes home to find her father minus a head in the bathtub. - At Walsh's apartment, Walsh tells Alex that it's all about a building corporation called DELT, being run through the strip club, laundering money from drugs, prostitution, thus the police are involved. this is what Lauren found out, that is why she died. Erin barges into the apartment telling Alex about her dad.

s c e n e  17

Alex goes to "The Hole" to cause some havoc. - The Captain meets Erin at Walsh's apartment, and explains to her about her father. Erin gets the Captain's gun and trains it at him, Walsh cowers. the Captain gets his gun back and Walsh is shot by Madden and the Captain.

s c e n e  18

Alex starts a big shoot out in "The Hole". This scene is a lot like the Eric Draven scene, where he gets into the big shoot out in the first movie. Alex grabs Toomey, a lot like the scene with Skank, and checks his arm for the scar. Madden shoots a monitor with a gas leak and the club explodes along with The Crow. Alex comes out of the inferno battered. He sees an arm hanging out of the rubble with the zig zag scar, but it turns out to be just an arm. Alex then leaves the rubble and watches a woman, while having a flashback. Her boy friend hits Alex with an effect.

s c e n e  19

Alex goes back to Walsh's apartment to find no Walsh and no Erin. Alex finds evidence to link the Captain with Lauren's murder, so Alex goes to the police station. The Captain doesn't like the way he is being spoken to, so he stabs the wounded Alex fifty three times with the knife that killed Lauren. The Captain with Madden and the Secretary pull Alex into the taxidermy room, where the Captain claims he is going to "...mount him with his head up his ass." Erin is hanging up with her mouth stitched up. Before Alex is about to be stuffed, he is saved when Erin uses the locked which 'connects' the two, to bring Alex back from the dead again. Alex cuts Erin down. Erin runs out with the Captain chasing her, Alex is confronted with more police, Alex finishes off Madden by throwing him into a trophies case and he finishes off the Secretary, as well. Captain gets Erin into a car and drives away, Alex reaches the roof of the police building and leaps off into the car, pulling out the Captain's arm with the zig zag pattern on it.

s c e n e  20

- After a nasty, long winded speech, the Captain is in an electric chair, then he gets fried. Alex and Erin walk outside and Alex disappears in a whirlwind. It then cuts to an 'alternative' looking Erin, with coloured dreadlocks, studs in the holes that before had stitched her mouth up. Erin puts the necklace that bonded Alex and Erin on Alex's headstone, she kisses Lauren's and Alex's headstone, and leaves.
