Personal Thoughts
I wondered if the score to COA would live up to the original. Where the actual movie itself did not live up to the first movie, the score suffered no such fall. Revell, able to keep the Crow "feel" to the music, changed the style to fit the various moods of COA. There is a lot of chanting throughout the music. The guitar, evident in his score for the first movie, was not in this one. This music has more of a spiritual South American inspiration. This is mainly because of the spiritual disposition present in COA. I find myself listening to The Crow score CD and this CD more than the soundtracks. The scores, to me, are the heart and soul of the movies. My hats off to Revell for the great music he has given us.
