Adaptation of James Obarr's: The Crow About James O'Barr's The Crow is an amateur adaptation of O'Barr's original Crow series shot on and for home video. The project, began just one month after the theatrical release of the Miramax major motion picture starring Brandon Lee, was completed in 1998 and briefly circulated for the cost of tape, plastic box, and sleeve (link to attached scan of old cover); however, in May of 2000 producers David Ullman and Matt Jackson were asked to stop distributing their non-profit work by Crowvision Inc. and Pressman Films, the lawful copyright holders of the motion picture rights to “The Crow.” Currently the producers are seeking Internet exhibition privileges for this and other Crow fan films. |
