The Crow/Razor Finale

Crow Rating: 2 1/2 Crows

Published: February 1999

Cover art: Dorian

Author/Artist: Everette Hartsoe - script & storyboard artist

Comic Overview
This volume starts with the words "after the curtains come down". It deals mostly with Razor still trying to settle the questions in her mind about Eric. Was he a dream or was he real? There are four or five pages depicting a battle between Razor and some thugs sent by a woman named Juliet, whom Razor has been keeping an eye on, for illegal activity. Razor is questioning why she does what she does (helping the innocent, those that can't fight for themselves). Eric comes back to offer some counseling, and a promise to check on her from time to time.

Personal Thoughts
I did not care for the art in this issue. It has the look of Japanesse animation. It does not compare at all to the five previous volumes. The battle with Juliet's thugs did not make any sense, and added nothing to the overall "Pain" storyline. I did like the continuation of Razor trying to reconcile, in her mind, whether or not Eric was real, and dealing with her insecurities about what she is doing. If not for the art, I would like this issue more. The style just did not set well with me. Hartsoe's rendition of Eric looks terrible, in my opinion.
