Comic Overview
Story contributed by James O'Barr. The story follows a Native American farmer named Joshua. He and his family are murdered in the late 1800's by a band of renegade confederates. Over a century later, the Crow awaken's Joshua to seek revenge on the reincarnated souls of those renegades. Still in the business of chaos and killing, they must pay for their earlier transgressions.

Personal Thoughts
James O'Barr originally intended Deadtime to be the treatment for the next Crow movie. He was unable to finish it, so it was used as the first three-volume story in a four story set of Crow comics, distributed by Kitchen Sink Press and inspired by O'Barr's original. I found the premise of Joshua coming back after a century to strike out against the reincarnated souls of the men that killed him very interesting. The "Irony" face was gone (except in O'Barr's cover art interpretations of Joshua). Also, the myths were altered a bit from the original story. The dialogue, at times, is hard to follow due to the flow of the storyboards. Overall it is a very good installment. This series is also available in a graphic novel format.
