| A Boy and His Bird News September 2003 Nicholas has sent along word about the Fan Film 'The Crow: First Born' over at IFilm.com. The film by Chris Rayback tells the tale of 'A young couple in love (Mark and Mary Reiden), are killed when one of them decides to leave a gang for the love of their unborn child. Now that soul has been carried back, to make the wrong things right.' It seems like a good premise and the reviews are decent. Click here to take a look.
For fans of the Crow in the Dallas area, great news. It will be playing for two midnight showings, October 3rd and 4th. Click here to see the specifics (you will need to page down a little ways) http://www.landmarktheaters.com/Market/Dallas/Dallas_Frameset.htm Thanks to Aaron Blain for sending in the heads up.... Take care.....
Those who live in Melbourne, Australia have something to look forward to in December! The Crow will be at the Astor theater as a double feature with Freddy vs. Jason. This is the first time that The Crow has been shown at the Astor for many years, so if you're in the Melbourne area, you're in for a treat. If you're planning on going, email us, and hopefully we can gather some Crow Fans together for the occasion.
Robert Zuckerman, set still photographer for the first two Crow films had a great summer in 2003. Two of the films he worked, "T3" and "Bad Boys 2", each grossed over 100 million this past summer. Robert has another high profile gig he is currently working on, "National Treasure". It stars Nick Cage and is a Jerry Bruckheimer film. Robert will be in the D.C. area for close to 2 weeks, then on to Philadelphia for a few weeks and on to L.A. for a couple of months from there. We asked him about, Patti, his sister who is fighting a rare, debilitating degenerative condition known as Spinocerebeller Degeneration. Robert replied, " Patti is doing ok - she has an incredible spirit, as does our Mom and Patti's nurse Joy, for whom we are so grateful and blessed." He continues to offer a special edition of the Brandon "Cathedral" photo on his Wonderhall site, with the proceeds going towards Patti's care. Some exciting news from Robert is that he is looking to move away from doing set stills and doing film and other photo projects that are "closer to my heart". Of course, this is all dependent on being able to pay the bills with the new career! We wish Robert the best of luck with the new film and the new direction in his career. We ask that you continue to keep Patti in your thoughts and prayers. Take care.....

That's right, we were able to view the trailer to Wicked Prayer a few days ago. Lets just say the fan base is gonna go nuts for this film!! Here is a detailed run down of our thoughts on what we saw, enjoy!!!

In the hope that someone saved those pictures from Wicked Prayer that were posted by Chris Dechert, Buffy News has saved the pictures dedicated to David Boreanaz. Click over to take a look.
As you will read below this update, today brings big news of the first person to glimpse moving images from The Crow: Wicked Prayer. It is a glowing review. The teaser trailer was created to show foreign buyers and get interest for it overseas. When it will make its debut in the U.S., no word yet. Since it was created as a marketing piece for overseas buyers only, it will not be available to the general public overseas. However, there is always the chance someone might make a copy of it and put it up on the net, though we know from past history with the photos from the production, it would get shut down pretty quick if that happened. As for the movie itself, the post-production continues to move forward. The directors cut (first cut) of the film is near completion. They are working in the soundtrack music (no word yet on what groups are part of the soundtrack). This will be a pivotal first cut as it will go a long way in swaying the folks at Miramax/Dimension on what avenue to go with the film (either theatrical or direct to video). Take care.......come what may Fan Gets Peek At Wicked Prayer Preview Over at "Ain't It Cool News", they have an update from Phil DeGraves who has reported seeing the Wicked Prayer teaser and gives it a GLOWING review. Check it out:
Phil DeGraves catches a peek at the CROW: WICKED PRAYER teaser trailer! Hey folks, Harry here... This is a film... that should probably have no right to be looking forward to. The last... however many... Crow sequels have sucked like an overheated Hoover, but folks... Lance Mungia is directing this sucker. Lance Mungia directed one of my all-time no-budget films... SIX STRING SAMURAI. This guy raving about the images he saw in the trailer send me over the moon. Lance has the ability to make a film that could kick ungodly ass. The reality is... if he were directing the IRON FIST movie with Jeffrey Falcon as IRON FIST... the movie would own all of our asses 5 times a day. Here ya go: Hey Harry! I don't know how much of a scoop this is, but I got a chance to see a rough cut of the new Crow movie trailer and it's amazing! Eddie Furlong looks great as the Crow (the make-up is slightly different, but works terrific), David Boreanaz is an amazing villian with a scene eating presence I had no idea he was capable of, and Tara Reid looks gorgeous. The trailer is atmospheric, brutal, action packed, emotional, and just plain beautiful. I'm sure you already know the story takes place on and around an Indian reservation and Eddie's character returns from the grave to avenge his and his girlfriend's death. (Eddie's girlfriend is played by Emmanulle Chriqui, the girl from Wrong Turn). I liked director Lance Mungia's other movie "Six String Samurai" a lot, so I'm expecting great things for this. I'm sure it will be available on-line soon, and it's definately worth looking for. Thanks to DeaderMan, Karen and Kurt for the heads up on this. To see the review click here. Take care.....
The "Ultimate Crow Fan" contest finished up on the 31st of August. As we reported earlier, the response was beyond anything we expected. I would first like to thank our judges. Brad, Lisa and J.P., who had a very difficult job. They were highly impressed with the entries. They did not realize when I asked them to do me this favor exactly what they were getting into. When it was said and done, the entries with the most heart and conviction won out. So on to the winners. Here they are: 1st Place - Jennifer Mai. Brad commented that Jennifer's entry was an inspiration to read. The Crow was beyond a movie, but a life's lesson that Jennifer put into action. Congratulations to you Jennifer. 2nd Place - Steven Chambers. Lisa commented that Steven's story of a life being turned around for the better in response to a movie was heartwarming. Congratulations to you Steven. 3rd Place - Andrew Quick. J.P. commented that Andrew's yearly dedication to furthering the themes of the Crow were beyond just that of a "fanatic", but someone who really took to heart the themes of the movie. Congratulations to Andrew. Again, I can not stress the difficulty the judges had in narrowing down the entries to the top 3. There were so many deserving entries. For the winners, we need you to email us at abahb1@hotmail.com and give us your complete mailing address so we can forward it on to the folks at DragonFly Productions. We were informed that the lunch boxes, which all the winners will receive, have been delayed and will be shipped separately from the other items. Thanks to the folks at DragonFly Productions for offering such great prizes. I know the winners are going to be very pleased with the items they have won. Thanks again to all of you that entered. I wish we had something for everyone that entered. Please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for bearing your souls and entering this contest. Take care.....Irony and LLcruize

"Just thought i'd let you know, there is a screening of THE CROW (the original, of course) scheduled for Friday, October 24th, 2003 at the Spectrum Mall Cinemas in Phoenix Arizona, presented by the Broadway Bound & Gagged Theatrical Troupe. More details to come, but I just thougth I'd get this exciting news to you ASAP!" Be sure to catch that one if you live near!
The "Ultimate" Crow fan contest has closed. The number of entries surpassed our expectations. We thank each and every one of you that entered. I read over the entries before sending them on to our judges and I can say without a doubt, their job is going to be very difficult to narrow it down to the top 3 (three). I have asked the judges to get back with us by weeks end. So how will this all work? The judges will pick their top 3 (three) choices, listed by the order they feel each entry placed. For every 1st place vote an entry receives, they get 3 points, 2nd place votes are worth 2 points and 3rd place votes are worth 1 point. The entry with the most points will be our 1st place winner, 2nd most points will be 2nd place winner and 3rd most points will be the 3rd place winner. If we have one or more entries tie for any of the positions, the tie will be broken by the entry with the most 1st place votes. If there is still a tie and/or none of the entries that tied for a specific position received 1st place votes, we will go to the one with the most 2nd place votes. Again, good luck to those that have entered. You all did a wonderful job. Take care.....
