Wicked Prayer Bloody Disgusting

Bloody Disgusting has this to report:

What Can You Expect from 'Crow: Wicked Prayer?'

"I have been in contact with someone involved on The Crow: Wicked Prayer and have a little blurb on what he thinks about the script. He asked to remain anonymous, but here's what he had to say, "The script is really... wacky. Lance Mungia (who did "Six String Samurai") has a bizarre sense of action and humor. I suspect it will either be the BEST in the series, entirely reinventing it.... Or it will flop. It's all or nothing. I have to hand it to the filmmakers. They are willing to take some enormous risks. All the cast members LOVE the script... for whatever that's worth." Trust me when I say this comes from an awesome source."

Wicked Prayer Production Update

Production has hit the 3 week mark on Wicked Prayer. Word from the production is all the principles are doing well. David Boreanaz and Danny Trejo were said to of impressed the crew the first couple of weeks. Their presence, ability and overall great attitude have set the tone on the set. David could end up finally giving us a villain equal to Michael Wincott's "Top Dollar". Tara Reid and Eddie Furlong are reported to be in great shape. Looking forward to seeing some pics of Eddie all "crow'd out". Finally, the senior cast member on the block, Dennis Hopper, has shot some of his "El Nino" stuff and has done great.

We can only hope all of this good news leads to convincing the folks at Miramax/Dimension they have a theatrical release on their hands and we get to finally see a Crow film grace the big screen again.

'The L-Word' Cries Crow

Jei W sends this along, as Eric Mabius and Mia Kirshner are cast together:

"Mia (The Crow City of Angels) and Eric(The Crow Salvation) will be in Showtime's new original series "The L-Word". The two will be a couple whom have just moved to Los Angeles. Based on the idea of the series, I am uncertain how long Eric will remain with the cast, but my hopes are high that he will stick around. With the success of Showtime's other 'alternative' show "Queer as Folk", I have to imagine that all cast members associated with this new project will do well.

For more authentic and accurate information (I am just a fan after all) check out this link: http://www.sho.com/lword/"

Our thanks go to Jei for this information!

Weekly Update Plus Crow 4 Page Update

This has been a fun week. When all the dust cleared, we had three new actors signed on to be in Wicked Prayer (David Ortiz, Macy Gray & Yuji Okumoto) and confirmation that production started last Friday, 6 June, on the movie. For those that missed anything, just take a look at the week's updates and see what all went on. Our Crow 4 page continues to grow. If you take a look at our Crow 4 front page, you will see the latest actors are listed, with their characters added to the character glossary with a brief description of who they are. We hope this helps to cut down on the confusion between the novel version of the story and the movie, which differs greatly from the novel.

Hope you have a great weekend and if anything pops up this weekend, we will jump out here and update you. If not, see you Monday!

Update On Wicked Prayer Production & Casting

The production was delayed a few days due to waiting on the financial end of things to get completed, but we are happy to report all was worked out and Wicked Prayer is officially in production as Friday, June 7th. There were reports that Pressman had fallen ill and the production was halted. Thank goodness, that is not the case.

There has been three actors cast lately for supporting roles. The first was David Ortiz for the role of Sheriff Tanner. He is the brother of Lily. The other casting has been of Macy Gray and Yuji Okumoto. Macy will play one of El Nino's (Dennis Hopper) body guards and Yuji will play the 4th member of the Four Horseman gang, Pestilence. If you remember, we ran an update on these two a couple of months ago saying they were rumored to be up for roles.

A lot happening and keep checking with us daily for more updates now that Wicked Prayer is full steam ahead in production.

Take care.....come what may.

Crow 4 Production Underway

THE CROW: WICKED PRAYER officially started production last Friday, June 6th. There had been an earlier report that production was held up due to a medical emergency involving Edward R. Pressman. We have since learned that Pressman is in good health and the only hold up with the production was waiting a few extra days for the financial paperwork to be signed, sealed and delivered. All is in order and the cameras are rolling. We hope to have news on the production soon.

Along with that, look for further casting news to come out. We reported the casting of David Ortiz as Sheriff Tanner. Along with his casting comes news that the roles of Pestilence (one of the Four Horseman gang) and one of El Nino's body guards has also been completed. We are waiting on final approval to announce the specific actors names and will do so the second we get the OK.

Take care.....come what may.
