David Boreanaz Update

The more the public recognises David Boreanaz, the more people will see Wicked Prayer, and based on that, Karen from Totally David Boreanaz UK sends this along:

'Slightly off-topic but David is to appear as the Leading man in Dido's new music video shortly: Below is the extract from Entertainment Weekly. I have posted pics from the shoot on my site. www.totallydavidboreanazuk.com . This will have the effect of bringing mainstream interest to both Angel and Crow-Wicked Prayer as new viewers may tune in to see his work...

August 1 EW, "One Week in Hollywood" feature, pg. 39, called "Dido's 'White Flag,' Take 25."

For about two hours and two dozen takes, Dido has been ambling down the same ersatz New York City street; every time, the focus, lighting, or extras thwart her ambition to make it to the end of the block, which is actually on the Universal backlot. But you won't find her carping about the hurry-up-and-wait shoot for her upcoming music video, "White Flag." "The last time I came here was when I was 20, for the stuido tour, so it's actually quite nice, says the Brit, 31, whose "Thank You" made her famous. Not only is she no longer heading through these parts on a tram, now she gets her choice of leading man.

Dido wanted a co-star who was "cool and dark" since, although the video initially pictures her obsessively following a guy, a twist reveals he's the "really crazy" one in their sidewalk cat-and-mouse game. Cool, dark, and stalker-ific? No wonder she picked TV vampire and Angel star David Boreanaz.'

UK Pressman Offices Say Crow 5 Will Have A Female Lead

ABaHB visitors who have kept up with our news over the last couple of years, have been told by us that if Crow 4 turned out to be a male led story, that Crow 5 would be the time for a female lead. Well, with Crow 4 having come to fruition in the form of the male led story, "The Crow: Wicked Prayer" (which is in post-production), word comes out of London, via Darkhorizons news today, that appears to back up what we have been reporting for some time now:

The Crow 5: The following was just sent in to The Z Review from one of their very reliable sources: "UK based associates of Edward R Pressman, have let slip plans for a fifth Crow movie. Tired of the formulary 'guy dies and becomes an avenging Crow', the plan for the 5th time round is for a female to don the black and white make-up and kick butt. Shock, horror, a bit of originality! Ah, yes, but instead of a grimy US setting, the action is expected to move to the streets of Hong Kong". Thanks to 'Gary' & 'Shannon'.

We shall see how this premise fleshes out in the coming months. Don't expect a whole lot though, Wicked Prayer has yet to finish post-production. So any significant movement on the Crow 5 premise will come after Wicked Prayer is completely finished and out.

Take care.

Wicked Prayer Production Complete

It was reported late yesterday on Clint's Bits that the production for Wicked Prayer was complete. We can confirm from sources within the production that this is indeed true. The film has wrapped principle filming. According to our source, the film has turned out beyond expectations, due mostly to a fantastic cast. Optimism is very high right now that the film will receive a theatrical rleease, but only time will tell.

Speaking of time, what does this early completion mean to the release date? Not sure right now. The original release date was said to be spring/summer 2004. Who knows now, that could be moved up. We will keep a close ear to the ground for more information on IF the film does indeed get a theatrical date and when that is.

With the film moving into the post production phase, hopefully soon, photos from the shoot will start surfacing.

With the film in the can, one would think that the Comic Cons coming up would be great venues to get some early buzz going. We have not heard if the cast or crew will be at any of the conventions, but surely there will be something set up to start getting folks fired up about the film. We will keep an ear to the ground on this as well.

Keep checking with us for the latest information from around the net on the production.

Take care....
