Proyas Update

Fans of Crow director Alex Proyas, here is the latest on his in the works movie "I, Robot". This update comes from Darkhorizons Tuesday news edition:

I, Robot: Moviehole has uncovered the truth behind the whole "I Robot" not filming in Australia debacle. According to a scooper: "I Robot went to Vancouver because Will Smith said no to Australia - as simple as that. Fox is screaming because the budget was too high anyway but Will could not be swayed. Too far from home. They didn't mind it here while Jada was filming Matrix but a source on that film said every minute they had off they spent at Chatswood Chase shopping centre! They obviously were not overwhelmed by Sydney!. Alex Proyas really wanted to shoot in Sydney & the production had holds on warehouses around Sydney as no studios were available. All the VFX will still be done in Australia so that is why they still have an office in Fox Studios". Thanks to 'Clint'.

Ed Pressman announces CROW sequel & SISTERS remake

Fangoria announce a close start for The Crow: Wicked Prayer!

"Veteran genre producer Edward R. Pressman, whose psychological chiller LOVE OBJECT debuts later this year, has revealed another pair of genre projects planned for 2003. The first to roll will be THE CROW: WICKED PRAYER, the fourth film in the supernatural action franchise spawned by the Brandon Lee hit. This installment, to be directed by Lance (SIX STRING SAMURAI) Mungia, will be informed by Native American mysticism. Also on the horizon is SISTERS, a remake of the Brian De Palma chiller that marked Pressman's first fright effort. The new take on the tale of Siamese twins and murder will mark the feature writing/directing debut of Doug Buck, who has won notoriety for his shorts CUTTING MOMENTS and HOME."
