Wicked Prayer Storyboards Online

Our good friend Chuck has once again sent us another great scoop this week. A site for Big Guy Productions has posted a few of what they say are over 900 storyboard drawings they created for The Crow: Wicked Prayer. Go here to see the sample of storyboards. We can tell you that these storyboards are authentic as they match the scripts we have been privy to. Along with the storyboards, Big Guy Productions also developed conceptual artwork for the look and costuming of some of the main characters. The storyboards that are posted on the site show two different scenes from the movie and give you a peek at what to expect.

Thanks to Chuck for the scoop. Keep checking with us for more information on Wicked Prayer.

Take care......

Flesh and Blood in Print

The Crow: Flesh and Blood staring Iris Shaw (written by James Vance / illustrated by Alex Maleev) has been resurrected by Dark Horse Comics. Released earlier this month, Flesh and Blood is a trade paperback that is quite unlike the previous Kitchen Sink Press TPB. Dark Horse has reprinted the comic at 6" x 9", making it smaller, but still retaining the original impact. For more information, click here. You'll be able to find this now at your local comic store worldwide.

Miramax Rumored To Be Laying Off 150+ Employees

There is a story that was picked up on Dark Horizons that was featured in Variety today. Below is a transcript of the report:

"Back in June, some papers announced imminent pink slips at Miramax. If not this Friday, then certainly the next, gadflies said. Or maybe after the Fourth of July weekend. Now it's August and on Monday, the New York Post ran a story about Miramax really, really getting ready to slash its staff, as many as 160 of them. Not that it's happened yet, but it will ... any moment now..."

We have contacted our sources on the production of Wicked Prayer and asked if this did happen would it have any sort of impact on Wicked Prayer's release. At this time, since it hasn't happened and no one knows who would be let go, if indeed true, there is no way of telling how this would, if at all, impact Wicked Prayer's release. Post production continues at a feverish pace. You may have noticed that August 6 th came and went with no release of the film, as we had said it wouldn't.  There continues to be speculative release updates on IMDB for Germany , with a release scheduled there for February 2005 rather than December 2004 now. We have not received any word on definitive release dates, so until we get the word officially, we will continue to report these dates with a preface of taking them with a pinch of salt.

Take care...

Update on Crow 1 & 2 Still Photographer Robert Zuckerman

As many of our long time visitors know, we like to update fans on the latest goings on with Crow alumni. We regularly give you an update on Robert Zuckerman, still photographer for The Crow and The Crow: City of Angels . Robert sends the latest word on what he is up to and the latest on his sister Patti as she struggles with a debilitating disease:

"I'm working now on a book of the pieces I've been doing for a while - everyday encounters in the flow of life and brief stories or observations about them.  Finding the richness in everyday encounters - the extraordinary within the ordinary. "

"Patti is hanging in there.  She got a feeding tube earlier this year and is doing well with it - it allows her to get her needed caloric and nutritional intake without choking and excessive energy expenditure."

Here are a few recent pieces on Patti that Robert has sent around (1, 2, 3). They have some heartfelt reflections added to each. I have a new found respect for Montel Williams after seeing these pictures. Please visit Robert's site http://www.wonderhall.com to order a limited edition of the famous "Cathedral" picture that Robert took of Brandon in full Crow costume & make up. All proceeds from this print go to the care of Patti.

We send Robert and his family our heartfelt thoughts and prayers. He is one of those "good people" we are fortunate to run across in our lives. We hope for nothing but the best for Robert and his family.

Take care....
