A Boy and His Bird News 2001 We reported a few weeks ago that the storyline for the next Crow movie was in the works. There are two premises that have the highest probability to become Crow 4. They are a premise based on one of the Crow novels and the other, a female led storyline. We put it to the ABaHB community as to which they wanted to see. Another good turnout of over 200 folks voted. In a narrow victory, the female storyline was chosen by 55% of those responding, compared to 45% for the novel premise. Appears whichever premise is chosen, fans are up for either one of them. Now, we have a thought provoking question for you. Which incarnations of the Crow story is, in your opinion, the definitive source of what you feel the Crow is all about? Is it the movies? Is it the comics? Is it the novels? Or perhaps the TV show. Whichever it is that you feel best represents your vision of what a Crow story should be, let us know by going to the poll. Take care.....amf
From Gothic.net comes some pics from the deleted 'Making of' documentary about The Crow! This gives us all a glimpse of what we missed in total, so to check it out, just click on over here. Thanks to: The Crow's Loft
Due to some problems, today's update will be a little late, so come back a little later!
We've updated the Questions and Answers again slightly, but you'll have to click here to check them out!
How Innocent Does One Have To Be? Just how innocent does a soul have to be for them to be worthy of the revenge that the crow can help give? This is the problem that LLcruize puts forth to your own opinion in this latest article. In conjunction with The Crow ChamberRoom message board, we want you to read the article and then click over and post your own ideas on the matter in a special thread. So, over the weekend, read the article and post your thoughts!
Everyone remembers Angel's great performance as the speed freak 'Skank' from the first CROW movie. He, along with the other actors who made up T-Bird's posse were an unforgetable bunch. Since THE CROW, what has Angel been up to? Like so many of the actors from THE CROW, Angel's work has been varied and sparse. Angel followed his turn as Skank with a small part in the feel good movie IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU. After that, he pretty much was in some forgetable films and even had a short stint in 1995 on the soap ONE LIFE TO LIVE. It was not until 1997 that Angel was in another high profile film. That film was G.I. JANE. Angel played the part of Newberry. Angel's most recent work has been on television. He has guested on an episode of NBC's THIRD WATCH as well as the series LAW AND ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIM'S UNIT. All together, Angel has appeared in 13 films and 4 series. Angel has not acted since 1999. A long dry spell for someone who showed such promise in THE CROW.
Be sure to go to our poll and cast your vote for the premise you would like to see Crow 4 adopt. Also, check out the newly revamped Q&A that we put up last night. We added a new question/answer in regard to the many requests we get about submitting fan scripts to Pressman and Miramax. It is in the last section of the Q&A, so all you budding script writers check it out.
It has been a month since we updated our questions and answers section. So go check out the latest additions to the section. We currently have 40 of the most frequently asked and hottest questions on fans minds. We have a Crow 4 section now that should be growing with the coming months. So give it a read. If you find a question that you have is not answered there, give me a hollar at LLcruize@yahoo.com and I will do my best to get it answered. Take care.....amf
We had a great turnout for the last poll. Over 200 folks responded. Quite a few have picked up the boxed set. Those that have not, the main reason cited was the price. I would have to agree with that. At 59.99 at most retail outlets like Best Buy and Circuit City and anywhere from 69.99 to 89.99 online, it is a steep price to pay at one time. Of course, if you purchase them separately, your going to pay 20 bucks each, so if you can catch it for 59.99, it is not that bad considering you get the collector's box and booklet. However, it would be nice if Buena Vista Home Entertainment would mark it down to 49.99 to encourage more buying of the set. Perhaps with the holiday season approaching, they will implement such a price drop. Our next poll is up. We want to know your choice of the two premises currently being looked at for Crow 4. Head over to the poll and cast your vote. Take care.....amf
Kurt sends along some news from IGN about a possible animated Crow! Who would it be by, you ask? None other than Kevin Eastman of 'Heavy Metal' fame. Here's the exact quote; "We've optioned The Crow to do as an animated Heavy Metal movie." What will come of it all? We'll be sure to keep you updated, but it would be wise to click here and read the interview.
The next installment of The Crow is in the planning stages. There are two storylines that are getting major attention. One of those is a female led story and another is based on one of the Crow novels. It is common place for two or more stories to be in the consideration phase. In the coming months, we will know which one has been chosen. Do not despair if the female led story is not chosen. There is always Crow 5........ Take care.....amf
Justin H sends along this little bit of info about the project formerly known as The Crow: Lazarus: "I was watching MTV earlier today and I saw a news report on DMX. It talked about his new album and video and that he was getting ready to shoot The Crow: Lazarus. I just thought you might find it interesting that they are still referring to it as a Crow movie." But of course, Lazarus is out on its own these days, so let's wait and see what becomes of The Crow 4.
Out with the old and in with the new at ABaHB! As usual, the news has rotated with the month, and hopefully this month will be as prosperous as the last. Over the weekend, if you have some free time, click over to the ABaHB Archives and have a look around, it's a great history lesson. You'll find news of things that were and what never will be. If you haven't got the time for a history lesson, do click over to the new ABaHB Poll and cast your vote!
In a landslide turnout, fans have overwhelmingly embraced the 2hr finale movie idea for The Crow: Stairway To Heaven. With 1,000 votes tallied from three different sites, 90% of those responding said they wanted to see a movie that ties up all the loose ends left by the season, and as it turned out, series finale of STH. We will be sending our results along with some other information to Pressman and let them see that there is major interest in this project. Now the new poll is up. We want to know if you have purchased the Crow DVD boxed set and if not, why. So go and check out the latest poll. Take care.....amf
As per their usual practice, both Blockbuster and Hollywood Video have available previously viewed VHS copies of Salvation. Both places are asking 9.99 for it. For those looking for a bargain, here is your opportunity. Both of these stores also do the same thing with DVDs, so for those that have not been able to afford the 20 bucks for the individual Crow DVDs, maybe they will be available in the previously viewed bins later in the year. Thanks to Eric V. for the Blockbuster update. Take care.....amf |
